Permanent Jewellery: No Clasp, No Fuss, No Going Back
Share
If you've never heard of permanent jewellery, you're about to fall down a very beautiful rabbit hole. And if you have heard of it but aren't quite sure what it involves — this is for you.
So, What Actually is Permanent Jewellery?
Permanent jewellery is a delicate chain — a bracelet, anklet, necklace, or hand chain — that is welded onto your body at the time of your appointment. There's no clasp. No fastening. No way to take it off by accident.
It's fitted to you, welded shut, and then it's yours. Forever.
How Does the Welding Process Work?
Don't let the word "welding" put you off — it's nothing like what you're imagining. At your Welded Bonds appointment, we measure the chain to fit your wrist (or ankle, or neck) perfectly, then use a small pulse of energy to fuse the final link. It takes seconds. It doesn't hurt. And the result is a seamless, beautiful piece that sits exactly right.
What Can I Wear?
Bracelets are the most popular choice, but we also do anklets, necklaces, and hand chains. Each piece is available in gold and silver, and can be layered with other permanent pieces for a stacked, editorial look.
Can I Ever Take it Off?
Yes — if you ever need to remove it (for surgery, for example), it can be cut off with scissors. But most people never do. That's rather the point.
Is it Really Waterproof?
Yes. Shower in it, swim in it, sleep in it. Your Welded Bonds piece is built for real life — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
